Assisted Suicide Billboards in NJ and CA, and more coming

A group called the Final Exit Network is putting up billboards around the country advocating the "human right" of suicide. The Network's slogan is "my life, my death, my choice." They advocate assisted suicide and provide resources for those who are considering killing themselves. The primary reasons one would kill themself, according to the Network website, is for chronic or fatal illnesses such as cancer, ALS, Alzheimer's, Dementia, AIDS, and others.
It has been reported that members say the areas in which the billboards were posted (NJ, CA, and one coming in FL) is because of the high number of elderly people who might be considering ending their life due to illness or the desire to "die with dignity." The most commonly recommended means of ending one's life is by suffocation with a plastic bag or helium overdose.
The concept of "dying with dignity" by suicide is a growing concept that is gaining support amongst people who see life as only valuable as long as physical comfort is present. Read more...
